Veteran Nigerian music producer Olumide Ogunade, popularly known as ID Cabasa, has urged Christian creatives to actively participate in the secular entertainment industry, dismissing claims that such spaces are inherently ungodly.

According to Ireporter Online, the producer made the call in a series of posts on his X account, where he challenged the widespread belief that the secular space is controlled by negative spiritual forces. He described the notion as misleading and a deliberate attempt to discourage Christians from making an impact in mainstream platforms.

Cabasa maintained that while immoral acts and carnality may be associated with evil, the world and everything within it ultimately belong to God. He stressed that this gives believers the right to operate across all sectors, including music and entertainment, without fear or guilt.

He further argued that the persistence of wrongdoing in society is largely due to a lack of positive influence, encouraging Christian creatives to step into the industry as agents of change. He expressed confidence that their presence and values cannot be overshadowed by negative forces.

The producer also cautioned against the misinterpretation of religious texts, noting that individuals with limited understanding often distort scripture. He advised believers to critically assess teachings and interpretations, ensuring they align with proper context and sound doctrine.

In addition, Cabasa warned that some individuals who have distanced themselves from the faith may manipulate scripture to justify their actions while attempting to weaken the convictions of others. He urged Christians to remain grounded and discerning in their beliefs.
