According to Ireporter Online, former Super Eagles midfielder Osaze Odemwingie has advised Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen against a potential transfer to Manchester United, cautioning that the intense pressure on forwards at Old Trafford could negatively affect his career.

Odemwingie, who previously featured for Stoke City, Cardiff City, and West Bromwich Albion, expressed concerns over the expectations placed on strikers at the English club, noting that attackers often become scapegoats when results do not go as planned. He pointed to past examples in which high-profile forwards struggled to cope with the scrutiny surrounding performances at the club.

The former international suggested that Osimhen would be better suited to other top European sides, naming Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid as more stable and suitable destinations for the Napoli-owned striker. He described these clubs as more balanced environments where talented forwards can thrive without excessive pressure.

Odemwingie further praised Osimhen’s physical strength, aerial ability, and movement, stating that his playing style would adapt well to elite teams competing at the highest level of European football. He added that clubs like Real Madrid, in particular, could benefit from Osimhen’s attacking profile due to their expansive style of play.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has enjoyed an impressive campaign, registering 13 goals and five assists in the Turkish league, along with seven goals and three assists in the UEFA Champions League. Despite his strong form, Galatasaray recently suffered a setback in their title push following a heavy defeat to Samsunspor.
