According to Ireporter Online, content creator and social media influencer Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has revealed the reasons behind her decision to freeze her eggs, describing it as a carefully considered step taken to secure her future as a mother.

She explained that motherhood remains a major priority in her life, but several relationships she believed would lead to marriage ultimately did not materialise, prompting her to reassess her long-term plans. These experiences, she said, made her realise that finding the right partner may take longer than expected, and influenced her decision to take proactive measures rather than leave her fertility to chance.

Ashmusy disclosed that she first became aware of egg freezing after hearing a former Big Brother Naija contestant, Uriel, speak about the procedure. The idea, she noted, stayed with her and later motivated her to explore it more seriously.

She further stated that she conducted extensive research before proceeding, consulting medical professionals and studying available information online to fully understand the process. According to her findings, egg freezing involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries and preserving them in controlled conditions for future use when a woman is ready to conceive through assisted reproductive methods.

The influencer added that her decision came after a period of emotional reflection, noting that she had once expected to be married before the age of 30 but eventually had to accept a different reality. This acceptance, she said, brought clarity and reduced pressure, helping her focus on securing her future motherhood independently of her current relationship status. She also expressed that the procedure has given her peace of mind and relief, allowing her to pursue love without the added anxiety of time constraints.
