MC Casino Announces UK Tour Plans, Set To Take The Stage Across Britain

According to Ireporter Online, Edo-born comedian Lawrence Osarenkhoe, popularly known as MC Casino, has announced plans to embark on a United Kingdom tour following the success of his recently concluded comedy show, Funny By Nature, held at the Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The show, which featured performances from top Nigerian comedians including AY, Bovi, Sakin Dariya, MC Samba, Abino, Igodye, Destalker, Acapella, Julius Agwu and Funny Bone, was described as a night of exceptional entertainment that drew a large audience of comedy enthusiasts who filled the venue to capacity. MC Casino noted that the event, produced by Engraced Group, celebrated originality in stand-up comedy while showcasing some of Nigeria’s finest comedic talents on one stage.

Speaking to journalists in Benin City, he said the event delivered electrifying performances that kept guests entertained long after the curtain fell, adding that the overwhelming reception reinforced the strength of Nigerian comedy on a global scale.

He further disclosed that the Funny By Nature brand is set to expand beyond Nigeria with a UK tour scheduled for August, covering major cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Scotland. The tour will feature a lineup of comedians such as Sakin Dariya, Mr. Paul, MC Danfo, MC Samba, and MC Casino himself, alongside other notable acts expected to showcase African humour to international audiences.

MC Casino also emphasised the role of comedians in social advocacy, stating that comedy should not only entertain but also highlight societal issues. He explained that many comedians today are educated and socially aware, using their platforms to draw attention to governance and community challenges while promoting positive change.

He added that comedy remains a serious profession despite its humorous nature, stressing that comedians have a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to societal development.
