Today’s Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate – June 12, 2026
The dollar maintained its position against the naira at the parallel foreign exchange market, commonly referred to as the black market or Aboki FX, with traders in Lagos exchanging the United States currency at ₦1,400 for sellers and ₦1,390 for buyers as of Thursday, June 11, 2026.
According to Ireporter Online, the rates were obtained from operators at Bureau De Change (BDC) outlets, reflecting the prevailing prices in the informal forex market where many Nigerians source foreign currency for personal and business transactions.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has continued to distance itself from activities in the parallel market, reiterating that it does not recognize black market transactions. The apex bank has consistently advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to obtain it through authorized commercial banks and official channels.
At the official market, the CBN exchange rate recorded a high of ₦1,363 to the dollar and a low of ₦1,360. Market observers, however, note that actual buying and selling prices may vary across locations and dealers depending on demand, supply, and prevailing market conditions.
