Nancy Isime Recounts Memories At Late Actor’s Service Of Songs, Describes Alex Ekubo As Having A “Bad Mouth

According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has shared emotional memories of her late colleague Alex Ekubo during a Service of Songs held in his honour.

Speaking at the event, Isime described Ekubo as a lively and humorous personality who consistently brought joy to those around him, noting that he was known for his playful teasing and sharp sense of humour.

She recalled how he often gave friends humorous nicknames, saying he never missed an opportunity to joke with her, even referring to her as “old 20 naira,” a name he continued to use regardless of changes in her status or appearance. According to her, his playful nature remained constant in every interaction.

Isime further highlighted his strong presence in banter and on-set interactions, explaining that whenever he was in front of a camera, he always made sure to “yab” those around him, adding that he was rarely outdone in playful exchanges.

Beyond his humour, she described him as generous and kind-hearted, noting that he was always willing to give to others, even sharing the little he had, and often joked about it afterward.

She also reflected on his contribution to Nollywood, stating that he was a prominent figure whose performances consistently stood out and earned him respect within the industry.
