No Choice, I’ll Be Your Governor” — Ogala Declares To Abia Residents

According to Ireporter Online, Ogala made the statement during a TikTok Live session that gained widespread attention on social media, where she spoke about her ambition ahead of the 2027 Abia governorship election.

While addressing viewers during the session, the actress-turned-politician boldly predicted victory, insisting that her emergence as governor was divinely ordained.

“I, Doris Ogala, as your governor, you don’t have choice. Doris will be your governor, you don’t have choice. God has said it, so shall it be,” she stated.

Ogala, who became the AAC governorship candidate after declaring her intention to contest the election, has vowed to challenge the incumbent governor, Alex Otti. She promised that her administration would focus on improving the welfare of Abia residents, creating employment opportunities and promoting economic development if elected.

Before venturing fully into politics, Ogala established herself as an actress in Nollywood and later became involved in political advocacy through the AAC, taking part in campaigns and public demonstrations on issues affecting the state.

The actress also made headlines in June 2026 after she reportedly collapsed during a political consultation in Umuahia and was admitted to the Federal Medical Centre. During her recovery, she visited fellow patients from a wheelchair and offered prayers, an event that attracted various reactions from social media users.

Her latest declaration has continued to generate discussions among Abia residents and political observers as preparations gradually build ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
