Ayekooto Fires At Falz Over Comments On Remi Tinubu, Says “Stop Talking Jargons

According to Ireporter Online, Falz had during an interview on Arise TV questioned the First Lady’s call, arguing that addressing poverty and improving the welfare of citizens remain the primary responsibilities of the government rather than individuals.

The rapper reportedly stated that public officials should be held accountable for providing solutions to the challenges facing Nigerians, questioning why entertainers should be pressured to take on roles meant for government institutions.

Falz also referenced the All Progressives Congress’ 2023 campaign slogan, “Emilokan,” which translates to “it is my turn,” arguing that those who sought public office were aware of the responsibilities attached to leadership.

Reacting to the comments, Ayekooto Akindele, in a statement shared via his official X handle, accused the rapper of making unnecessary arguments and urged him to stop what he described as “talking jargons.”

Ayekooto claimed that the First Lady’s appeal was directed at top Afrobeats artistes such as Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, adding that Falz was not specifically mentioned.

He questioned why the rapper chose to respond to the comments, alleging that Falz had misinterpreted the message.

The exchange has sparked reactions among Nigerians, with many debating the roles of government and influential entertainers in addressing social challenges and supporting communities.
