The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has described President Bola Tinubu as a divinely chosen leader, saying his administration’s policies and infrastructure projects are helping to restore and transform Nigeria.

According to Ireporter Online, Umahi made the remarks while inspecting a road project in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, where he highlighted the impact of ongoing road construction on economic growth, job creation, and national development.

The minister stated that there is visible evidence that President Tinubu was sent to address some of the country’s challenges, particularly through massive investments in infrastructure.

Umahi said the improvement of road networks across the country is contributing significantly to economic activities while providing employment opportunities for Nigerians involved in construction projects.

He noted that good roads are essential to the progress of any nation, adding that improved transportation links reduce travel difficulties and create opportunities for businesses and individuals.

The minister explained that infrastructure development has a wider economic impact, as it supports various sectors, including the sale of construction materials and the growth of small businesses along project routes.

He pointed out that traders and suppliers of materials such as sand, chippings, iron rods, cement, and other local products benefit from government projects, thereby stimulating economic activities.

Umahi further argued that infrastructure projects help reduce unemployment by engaging thousands of workers, noting that job creation is a key part of addressing social challenges.
