Warri Pikin Begs Husband After Viral Video With Timaya Sparks Reaction
Nigerian comedian and actress Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has apologised to her husband, Ikechukwu, and her fans following a viral video showing her on stage with singer Timaya during a recent performance.
According to Ireporter Online, the comedian addressed the reactions generated by the video and explained that the incident happened spontaneously while she was backstage enjoying Timaya’s performance.
Warri Pikin said she joined the singer on stage after he called for a woman to come forward during his performance. She explained that, being caught up in the excitement of the moment, she quickly made her way to the stage without knowing what Timaya had planned.
According to the comedian, she was unaware that Timaya intended to carry the woman who joined him while performing his hit song, “Ukwu.”
She said she became surprised when the singer indicated that she should jump towards him and initially resisted the invitation. However, she eventually joined the performance after Timaya encouraged her not to disrupt the show.
Warri Pikin accepted responsibility for her decision to go on stage and appealed to Nigerians not to judge her harshly over the incident.
She also revealed that her husband was unhappy about the viral moment, noting that the situation was particularly difficult because she is currently in the United States.
“Nigerians, please take it easy on me, I’m really sorry. I take full responsibility for my actions. Na me put myself for this one,” she said.
The comedian explained that she had been backstage enjoying Timaya’s performance when he asked a woman to join him on stage.
She said she rushed forward because she was caught up in the excitement of the performance, adding that she did not know beforehand that the singer would carry the woman during “Ukwu.”
Warri Pikin further disclosed that she initially hesitated when Timaya asked her to jump towards him but eventually agreed after he encouraged her to participate in the performance.
She concluded by appealing for forgiveness while revealing that her husband was angry with her over the incident.
“Make una no vex for me abeg. Like this now Ikechukwu dey vex for me and you know say I dey America, e too far,” she added.
