If You Allow Osuofia, He’ll Talk From Now Till Tomorrow” — Producer Onyemobi On Nkem Owoh

Nollywood producer, Mr Martins Onyebuchi Onyemobi, has shared his experience working with veteran actor Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, describing him as a performer who gives his all once he accepts a role.

According to reports, Onyemobi said getting the best out of Owoh requires knowing how to manage his improvisational energy while still giving him room to bring his creativity and personality to the character.

The producer explained that Owoh’s spontaneity can sometimes take a production beyond what was originally written, particularly when the actor is given the freedom to improvise.

“If you give Osuofia a movie script, all you need to do is control him. When you control him, you will get the best out of him. But if you allow him, he will talk from now till tomorrow,” Onyemobi said.

He added that once Owoh commits to a production, the veteran actor puts considerable energy and creativity into the role.

“Once he agrees to do the job, he will give you everything he has. If the movie is supposed to be Part 1 and Part 2, Osuofia will end up giving you Part 1 all the way to Part 7,” he added.

Onyemobi’s comments highlight Owoh’s distinctive comic delivery and reputation for improvisation, qualities that have contributed to his enduring presence in Nollywood.

Owoh remains one of Nigeria’s well-known veteran comic actors, with the character name “Osuofia” becoming closely associated with his memorable performances on screen.
