There are high expectations as Nigerians await the coming national congress of the APC which is slated for December, the congress would usher in new leadership that would steer the activities of the party for the next four years.

A careful calculation was carried out on the basis of party members expectations, zoning of party offices, State Governor’s interference, Buhari’s body language, members of the national assembly and other party stakeholders.

Keeping in mind the complicated voting system shows that if all party delegates vote strictly in accordance with the party’s policy and ideologies then the All Progressives Congress is going to have a complete paradigm shift.

The available indication has shown that the youngest party chairman ever may emerge in the person of Mallam Saliu Mustapha.

According to party stakeholders, it has been generally accepted that the position of the APC National Chairman is reserved for an exceptional intelligent politician that has the capacity to handle the successes as well as the internal crises within the party.

His ability in harmonizing party interests and stakeholders was mentioned in his past experience as a national leader of CPC who championed his party into the biggest political mergers in history to form the APC.

Saliu Mustapha was Born on September 25, 1972, into the reputable family of Issa and Maryam Mustapha of Gambari Ward in Ilorin East Local Government Area, Kwara State.

Saliu was groomed at an early age to imbibe the core traditional and religious values of discipline, courage, honesty, piety and hard work upon which the ancient city of Ilorin was built.

Through his foundation – the Saliu Mustapha Foundation – Saliu has engaged in a wide range of charitable projects in his hometown and beyond, advancing humanitarian causes.
