Soludo Reveals Presidential Candidate He Is Backing For 2023 Presidency

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has declared his support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance presidential candidate, Professor Peter Umeadi.

Soludo claimed that the Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi, and his supporters, dubbed the “Obidients,” posed no threat to the APGA.

As he had previously stated, the Obidient movement was an offshoot of the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Dr Alex Obiogbolu, the Anambra governor claimed that the APGA remained the country’s third largest political party.

Soludo, who believes that the main opposition party is not being fair to the South-East by zoning its presidency to the North, believes that supporting any other party could harm APGA’s chances in the 2023 general election.

According to the statement, “APGA remains Nigeria’s third largest political party in terms of the number of political offices it has won.”

“APGA has a state governor, National Assembly members, and state assembly members.”

“The APGA does not see the ‘Obidient Movement’ as a threat to achieving its goals in 2023.”

“The LP and the ‘Obedient Movement’ are PDP offshoots.” As a result, they pose a significant threat to PDP rather than APGA.”

Soludo was elected governor of the state by the APGA.
