2Baba Says No To Plantashun Boiz Reunion… For Now

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian music legend Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has ruled out any plans to reunite with his former group, Plantashun Boiz. Speaking during a recent radio interview with media personality Steve Onu, the singer emphasized that he has moved on from that chapter of his career, despite holding no grudges against his former bandmates.

Commenting on the possibility of a reunion, 2Baba stated, “Other members of the group can go ahead, but as for me, I’m not interested. I have no beef with anyone, but as for me, it’s not going to happen.”

Plantashun Boiz, comprising 2Baba, Blackface, and Faze, was one of Nigeria’s most influential music groups in the early 2000s, producing hits that helped define modern Afro-pop before the trio disbanded.

Despite repeated fan requests for a comeback, 2Baba’s remarks indicate that a reunion may remain unlikely. The veteran artist is currently focused on his solo career and ongoing legacy projects, celebrating 25 years in the music industry with a special concert that further cements his status as one of Nigeria’s most enduring and respected performers.
