According to reports, Elusanmi served as Shepherd at the Orisun Ayo Parish in Ilupeju, while Michael was the Shepherd In-Charge at Christ Testimony Parish in Ikorodu. Olajuwon, until his death, was the Prophet at the CCC Saint S.B.J. Oshoffa Cathedral, International Headquarters, in Ketu, Lagos State.

The news of their passing spread rapidly on social media, with tributes pouring in from the Celestial Church community. Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, CCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, confirmed Olajuwon’s death on the church’s official website, describing his passing as sudden. Olajuwon had been actively involved in the church’s New Year’s cross-over service, even reading the second lesson before his death on January 1, 2025.

In a heartfelt message on Facebook, the Shepherd of CCC International Headquarters, Olatosho Oshoffa, remembered Olajuwon as a dedicated and loyal servant of God. Meanwhile, both the Christ Testimony Parish and Celestialgeneration Instagram account shared news of Michael and Elusanmi’s deaths.

Despite the shock surrounding their simultaneous passing, Ajala urged members to avoid attributing any superstitious meaning to the deaths, asserting that death is a natural part of life. “Everyone has their time,” Ajala emphasized, adding that Christians should embrace this truth without fear or superstition.

The church has extended condolences to the families of the deceased and reassured them of continued support. Ajala also reaffirmed the church’s prayers against untimely deaths, acknowledging the deep pain felt by the Celestial community.
