Abe Sounds Alarm: Politicians Supporting Fubara Want To Destroy Wike’s Influence
Former Senator Magnus Abe has strongly criticized politicians supporting Governor Siminalayi Fubara, accusing them of using his position as a tool to attack the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike. for Fubara but are merely seeking to advance their own political ambitions at the expense of Wike’s influence.
Speaking at a Rivers State stakeholders’ gathering hosted by Wike to celebrate the New Year, Abe revealed that many of Fubara’s current backers were involved in anti-party activities during the elections, supporting candidates from opposing parties. He warned that these politicians would abandon Fubara the moment he no longer served their interests.
“These politicians are not motivated by love for Rivers State; they are solely driven by the goal of diminishing Wike’s stature,” Abe stated. He urged Governor Fubara to recognize the ulterior motives behind these alliances and to unite with genuine patriots for the benefit of the state.
Abe further emphasized that no governor could unilaterally declare legislative seats vacant and that true progress would come only through collaboration with other loyal leaders. He urged the Rivers State political class to focus on the state’s well-being before it’s too late.
