EFCC, DSS Receive N2bn For Fueling Operations – What Does This Mean For Nigeria’s Security?

In the proposed budget, N808.7 million has been set aside for the EFCC to fuel its vehicles, with an additional N462 million earmarked for meals and refreshments. Similarly, the DSS has budgeted N1.37 billion for fueling its operational vehicles, as well as other significant investments in security infrastructure. These include N1.4 billion for tactical counter-terrorism equipment and N1.1 billion for advanced cybersecurity tools.

This spending aligns with the administration’s focus on enhancing the nation’s security apparatus, with a total of N960 billion allocated for the maintenance of defense aircraft and procurement of security equipment in 2025.
