THANK YOU: A NOTE OF GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
I write on behalf of my family and friends to thank you and express our gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to serve as Acting Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma from 11th May 2021 to 8th February 2022. It was an opportunity to demonstrate my very remarkable life of service to God and humanity with integrity, wisdom, hardwork, resourcefulness and visionary leadership. The facts are there for all to see.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to contribute to the resetting of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma at the time of hopelessness and dismay during the most precarious period of the chequered history of the University. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as Acting Vice Chancellor to show uncommon dedication to the peace, stability, progress and development of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to demonstrate my patriotism and resourcefulness in managing the affairs of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma when stakeholders expressed fears of the indefinite closure of the University. Thank you for the staff and students who will continue to draw inspiration from the legacies to offer my best to Nigeria and Edo State.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to introduce my blueprint of the GAINS Project and the SMILES Agenda for Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. GAINS is acronym for Global Academic and International Networking Strategy to connect Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma to the international academic community. and it is anchored on six pillars:
1. Learning Management System and Computer Based Examination;
2. Research for Development
3. Academia-Industry-Government Engagement Forum;
4. Exchange and Linkages;
5. AAUQuality Assurance Model and
6. Establishment of Centres of Excellence in Teaching, Research and Community Outreach.
SMILES is the acronym for:
1. Sustainable policy for Ambrose Alli University Strategy Plan, Staff and Student Welfare;
2. Manpower and Human Capital Development;
3. Infrastructure Development;
4. Leadership SWOT for Performance feedback;
5. Environmental Governance Policy for Ambrose Alli University; and
6. Security Reform and Sports Development.
Thank you so much Your Excellency for making me proud as a distinguished scholar of international repute: Fulbright Scholar, German Academic Exchange Scholar, Laureate of the Governance Institute of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa – CODESRIA.
