After 3-Year US Ordeal, Car Dealer Renee5star Finally Regains Freedom

Popular Nigerian car dealer Adesuwa Renee Ogiozee, widely known as Renee5star, has regained her freedom after spending three years caught up in a fraud investigation by authorities in the United States.

Ogiozee became entangled in the case after one of her customers, Joseph Olawuyi Olaosebikan, was accused of defrauding a victim of approximately $560,000 through a romance scam.

Throughout the investigation, Ogiozee maintained that her dealings with Olaosebikan were strictly professional and that she had no knowledge of, or involvement in, his alleged criminal activities.

According to reports, the car dealer endured significant restrictions during the three-year ordeal, including being required to wear an electronic monitoring device around her ankle and charge it at a designated time every day.

She also described the experience as humiliating and emotionally distressing, claiming that she faced several restrictions and punishments while the person she identified as the actual culprit remained free in Lagos.

After a lengthy investigation, US authorities and the courts reportedly found no evidence connecting Ogiozee to the alleged fraud, resulting in the case against her being dismissed.

Reacting to her freedom, Renee5star said the ordeal came at a huge personal and emotional cost, describing the experience as one that left her deeply drained.

“It is all cruise and fun until you are accused by the highest law enforcers in the world of a crime you did not do,” she wrote, while expressing gratitude to Jesus for helping her endure the difficult period.

Her release brings an end to a three-year legal ordeal that she said profoundly affected her life despite her consistent denial of any involvement in the alleged fraud.
