The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to formally inaugurate its National Campaign Council ahead of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election, marking the beginning of its statewide mobilization efforts.

According to an official statement issued on Monday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 10, at the Kashim Shettima Hall of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, beginning at 12 noon.

The campaign council will be chaired by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio serving as co-chairman, while Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has been appointed secretary.

The party explained that the council comprises serving and former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other senior APC leaders who will oversee and coordinate campaign activities in preparation for the Ekiti governorship poll.

The party described the inauguration as a significant step in launching its campaign structure and intensifying mobilization efforts across Ekiti State, expressing confidence that the coordinated strategy will position the APC for a successful outing in the forthcoming governorship election.
