According to Naija News, Obasa was accused of financial misappropriation, sparking political unrest in Lagos. Speculations suggest that Obasa’s governorship aspirations, which reportedly clashed with those of President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, may have added fuel to the fire.

3. Neglecting Members: Failing to “take good care” of Assembly members, leaving them dissatisfied.
4. Delaying Key Bills: Obstructing or delaying the passage of bills supported by the Governor.
5. Alleged Collusion: Being accused of collaborating with the Governor’s political adversaries.

As tensions flared, heavy security surrounded the Lagos State House of Assembly. Rumors also swirled about Obasa’s potential bid for the 2027 gubernatorial elections, further escalating the political drama.
