Atiku’s 2027 Presidential Ticket Will Be The End OF PDP’ – Bode George Slams Former VP

George emphasized that Atiku’s status as a former presidential candidate does not automatically make him the party’s leader. He further stated that while Atiku is pushing for a coalition of opposition parties for the 2027 elections, this move is not aligned with the PDP’s direction, as affirmed by the party’s Governors during their meeting in Ibadan on Monday.

“The fact that Atiku was the presidential candidate in the last election does not make him the fixed leader of the party. If he is running for personal gain, that is separate from the party’s interests,” Chief George said in an interview with Channels Television on Monday.

When asked about Atiku’s potential candidacy for the 2027 election, George firmly stated that it should not happen, citing the PDP’s commitment to power rotation between the North and South.

He added, “Atiku cannot be the candidate. Eight years in the North should be followed by eight years in the South. That is the principle, the foundation of the PDP. While he has the constitutional right to contest, if he secures the 2027 ticket, that will mark the end of the party.”

George concluded by asserting that any attempt to manipulate the process, as occurred previously, would not be accepted.
