Zainab Ado Bayero, daughter of the late Emir of Kano, has refuted claims that she mismanaged financial aid provided by Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf.

Zainab had previously sought assistance from the governor after facing eviction from their Lagos apartment, citing ongoing hardships since her father’s death.

In response, Governor Yusuf had covered their accommodation expenses. However, a subsequent request for additional funds led to accusations of financial mismanagement.

Zainab has defended her actions, stating she is not attempting to extort the governor but is seeking further assistance due to continuing financial difficulties.

She also highlighted her family’s ongoing struggles since her father’s passing and criticized the lack of support from his relatives.
