Who Is Behind The PDP Crisis In Edo? Residents React To War Between Obaseki Vs PDP

There is a popular show in Benin City that the anchor always asks his audience How Do You Feel Now?

That question carries a lot of weight and can be interpreted in so many ways. To some it’s hilarious, to others it is vexatious and some even say it’s rhetorical. That is like don’t ask me nonsense.

Today the whole social media space is agog with missiles flying from Edo State and the crux of the wahala is Obaseki versus the PDP, Edo State chapter.

Obaseki called a meeting with some party members and after the meeting wrote a letter to the National Working Committee of the PDP requesting the dissolution of the State working committee of the party.

The State working committee says no way, “we won’t tolerate nonsense from Obaseki.”

You know when an estranged celebrity relationship crashes the male lover might want to move in and repossess what he earlier bought for his girlfriend and an argument might ensue and it usually goes like this…

Guy: Give me the keys to the car I bought for you…

Lady: Hell no, I ain’t giving you the car keys…. translated in local parlance as  “Give me back my moto”…Lady; No I no give u d moto.

That is the drama now playing out in Edo State that residents are beginning to ask themselves how do they feel now? Especially those that went all length in voting for the PDP in the September 19th 2020 Gubernatorial election.

The crisis in the PDP has led the State to be functioning without a cabinet more than six months after Obaseki’s swearing-in, no special advisers, no media aides, no board membership.

Residents are wondering if the whole eight years of Obaseki would be spent fighting Godfathers to the detriment of development in the state.

This was how one man described the brouhaha,” na wah is this what we bargained for? Obaseki first three years was fighting the Godfathers in APC, the fourth year was for his campaigns and now the fifth year another round of battle with Godfathers, so who is now the cause of the crisis in Edo PDP?

Aside from the lamentation from residents about the state of affairs in Edo, the PDP and its leaders have been entertaining social media users with their prowess in letter writing.

If Raymond Dokpesi writes his letter, the PDP would fire back with a counter-response that would leave everyone reeling on the floor with laughter. When High Chief Tom Ikimi wrote his own letter the PDP replied with a Bomb that shook everywhere.

The same thing was replicated when High Chief Mike Ogiadomhe wrote his own letter, the PDP’s response was swift and a little bit devastating.

Charly Tempo was not left out in the letter-writing contest and of course, his own response was epic as well.

I can see APC supporters grinning from ear to ear asking PDP loyalist in Edo State, How Do You Feel Now?
