The President of the African Bar Association Hannibal Uwaifo Esq’s life has been one of service to the Nigerian Bar, the African Bar, the American Bar, the International Bar, and to humanity in general. An International Lawyer of no mean repute, Hannibal Uwaifo has distinguished himself in the business and practice of law. He has interests in Benin – the land of his birth, Lagos, Abuja, and New York as he is also a member of the New York Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

As President of the African Bar Association, Hannibal Uwaifo Esq. has taken the association to an olympian height so much so that AfBA is the foremost Non-State Party of most International and Multi-national Organizations in Africa. AfBA makes representations at the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State Conference and African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government.

Under his watch, AfBA has been a veritable force in continental affairs and he has horned vibrant committees which continue to make interventions in public interest issues in Africa. He has also fostered a very vibrant law student community in Africa by supporting the formation of the Federation of African Law Students (FALAS) and he formed the African Bar Association Law Students’ Internship Programme, making yours sincerely the Co-ordinator.

A devout catholic and profound family man, Hannibal Uwaifo is married to his adorable wife and they have children who are all excelling in their respective endeavours.

As you celebrate your birthday on Thursday the 26th day of November 2021, our prayers are that you shall have very many more years of prosperity, good health, and happiness.
