BREAKING: Another Elder Statesman Endorses Peter Obi For 2023 Presidency

Chief Edwin Clark, an elder statesman and South-South leader, has endorsed Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi for the upcoming election.

On Tuesday, he made the announcement during a press conference at his Abuja residence.

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leader, 96, said his support for the former Anambra State governor was based on a thorough examination of his plan for the country by the forum.

He praised Obi’s path to sustainable development, as well as his desire to include people from the Niger Delta in his governance.

Clark stated that Nigeria must continue to be a country where all citizens, regardless of tribe or religion, have equal opportunity. He believes the youth will benefit the most from the Peter Obi administration.

Clark, who is also the leader of the Southern and Middle Belt Leadership Forum (SMBLF), believes that allowing a southeasterner to lead the country will give true meaning to former President General Yakubu Gowon’s post-civil war mantra of “no victor, no vanquished.”
