The decision, announced in Lokoja after a meeting of the State Executive Council, marks a recalibration of governance and initiates a comprehensive transition process as the ‘New Direction Administration’ gracefully concludes its tenure.

Governor Bello expressed appreciation to those departing for their contributions and urged thorough handovers to ensure a seamless transition.

Some retained council members and aides were listed, and new appointments were made to fill vital vacant positions in the state, including the State’s Accountant-General, Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Auditor-General for Local Governments, Special Adviser on Finance, and Director-General of Project Monitoring Agency.

Additionally, Security Advisers from various federal constituencies were appointed.

All domestic staff to the governor and deputy governor, including their spouses’ staff, remain unaffected by the dissolution. The appointments are effective immediately.
