BREAKING: INEC Confirms Abdulrahman, Anyanwu & Team As PDP NWC Members (Photo)

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially updated its records to recognize the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), following the party’s National Convention held on Sunday. According to Ireporter Online, the INEC website now lists Abdulrahman Mohammed as PDP National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary.

Other members of the committee include Ahmed Yayari Mohammed as National Treasurer, Daniel Woyengikuro as National Financial Secretary, and Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade (SAN) as National Legal Adviser. The positions were reportedly secured by consensus during the elective convention held at the velodrome of Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The convention marked a significant milestone for the PDP faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, consolidating leadership under Mohammed and Anyanwu. In a related development, former Senate President Bukola Saraki reaffirmed the party’s commitment to active participation in national politics. In a statement shared on social media, Saraki asserted that the PDP will not be allowed to decline through non-participation in elections and emphasized that the party is now positioned to provide Nigerians with a credible alternative ahead of the 2027 polls. He further highlighted that the focus will shift to reconciliation within the party following the successful conclusion of the convention.
