BREAKING: Labour Party’s Edeoga Reacts To Tribunal Judgement That Upheld Mbah’s Victory
The Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, Chijioke Edeoga, has expressed his determination to contest the decision of the Enugu State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld the victory of Peter Mbah from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the legitimate governor of the state.
The tribunal, led by Justice Kudirat Murayo Akano, dismissed Edeoga and the Labour Party’s claims of over-voting, circumventing BVAS in the election, and forgery of the NYSC certificate.

In response to the judgment, conveyed through the spokesperson of the Edeoga/Nwokeabia Campaign Organisation, George Ugwu, Edeoga called on his supporters both within the state and across the country to remain composed, respect the law, and continue their regular activities without fear or obstruction.
He assured his supporters of his readiness to contest the verdict at the Court of Appeal and pursue all legal avenues available.
Edeoga stated, “We maintain a strong faith in justice and will utilize all legal means to ensure that the aspirations of the people of Enugu, who turned out in large numbers to vote for Labour Party candidates on March 18, 2023, are upheld.”
