BREAKING: Mohbad’s Father Makes Fresh Revelation On Grandson
Joseph Aloba, the father of the late rapper Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, known as MohBad, has formally requested a DNA test to determine the paternity of his grandson.
Following MohBad’s passing, there has been a clamor from some Nigerians for a DNA test to establish the biological father of the five-month-old child, given the controversies surrounding the rapper’s death.
In an interview with BBC Pidgin, MohBad’s father was queried about the widespread call for a paternity test for his grandson. He maintained that the proper procedures should be followed, emphasizing that the matter has now garnered international attention.

He said: “This thing has become a majority thing, not only in Nigeria. So they should do the proper thing at the proper time.”
On September 24, a video emerged online featuring businessman Larry Omodia urging Mohbad’s wife to undergo a DNA test for her son to verify his paternity. He offered to contribute N10 million to facilitate an ‘all-expense paid’ DNA test if she agreed.
Omodia expressed the belief that a DNA test was crucial given the numerous controversies surrounding Mohbad’s passing. He pointed out that a leaked conversation between Mohbad and Omowunmi during a heated argument had raised suspicions.
In the leaked recording, the ‘Peace’ singer made serious accusations against his wife, including conspiracy, and vowed that she would be held responsible if any unfortunate incident were to occur to him.
Omodia stated that Omowunmi’s willingness to undergo a paternity test for her son would put an end to all the distressing accusations being leveled against her and, most importantly, vindicate her name.
Earlier, a social media personality known as VeryDarkBalckMan received a strong caution from Mohbad’s sister-in-law after he requested a DNA test for the 27-year-old rapper’s son, Liam. The Instagram activist was warned of a potential N300 million lawsuit for defamation of character if he persisted with his DNA request.
