Briggs, now the Chairman of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board, made these comments while speaking to the media on Saturday in Port Harcourt.

He dismissed Wike’s recent claims of resurrecting Odili’s political career, asserting that Odili’s intervention was crucial to Wike’s rise, particularly during Wike’s second term as Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government. Briggs emphasized that Wike’s political advancement was largely due to Odili’s support, including having his name reinstated on the nomination list.

Briggs further criticized Wike for inciting crises in Rivers State to retain control and influence. He pointed to the recent peace following a court ruling on federal allocations to the state, alleging that Wike stirred up problems to maintain his position as the primary beneficiary.

Briggs also called out Wike for undermining Odili’s contributions to the state’s political structure, citing a viral video showing Wike being endorsed for political office by former First Lady Patience Jonathan and Odili.

He warned President Bola Tinubu to take action against Wike’s alleged misdeeds, stating that the people of Rivers State would no longer tolerate Wike’s actions. Briggs urged Wike to apologize or face further exposure of his conduct.
