‘CBN Forgot To Redesign US Dollars’ – Sowore Reacts To Arrest Of Lawmaker With $498,100

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, has reacted to the arrest of Chinyere Igwe, a member of the House of Representatives, by the Rivers State Police Command on Friday.

Igwe was apprehended in Port Harcourt with $498,100.

He is a campaigner for Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

In response to the report, Sowore stated that the Naira redesign, which he called fraudulent, would not have stopped vote buying.

He wrote on Twitter: “They told you “fraudulent Naira redesign” would stop vote buying. Scammers at @cenbank forgot to redesign the US dollars too! They forgot that these rogues don’t spend naira,”
