Chelle Takes Charge Of Super Eagles

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially introduced Éric Sékou Chelle as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

According to PUNCH Online, Chelle was appointed last Tuesday based on recommendations from the NFF’s Technical and Development Committee.

Chelle, 47, is the third coach to helm Nigeria’s senior men’s national team following the departure of Portuguese tactician José Peseiro.

The NFF announced that Chelle and his coaching staff will first oversee the Super Eagles B team’s participation in the African Nations Championship next month in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Afterward, their focus will shift to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, starting with matches against Rwanda (away) and Zimbabwe (home) in March.
