During a Sunday interview with CTV, Joly emphasized that “everything is on the table” when asked if Canada might halt energy exports to the United States as a retaliatory move.

Joly, alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc, plans to meet with provincial premiers to coordinate Canada’s response. She is also set to travel to Washington this week to engage Republican lawmakers and other key U.S. decision-makers.

“This is not a time for division or weakness. It is a time for strength and unity,” Joly stated, urging Canadian leaders to present a united front.

Reports indicate that Canada has been preparing a list of U.S. goods that could face retaliatory tariffs if Trump follows through on his proposal to impose a 25% tariff on all Canadian imports.

Joly reaffirmed her commitment to leading Canada’s response alongside LeBlanc, vowing to take decisive action depending on the U.S. administration’s next steps.
