Come Out In Protest To Defend Democracy, Judiciary – APC Tells Members Ahead Of Tribunal Judgement

APC

The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called upon its members to be vigilant and defend democracy and the judiciary against an alleged demonstration being organized by the ruling New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the state.

In a statement issued by the state’s APC Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ahmed Aruwa, it was claimed that the NNPP is planning to hold a demonstration in response to an undecided petition at the National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.

Aruwa asserted that APC members have been fully mobilized to counter any actions that might undermine democracy by the NNPP.

The APC’s PRO expressed concerns that this proposed demonstration is a deliberate effort to intimidate the Judiciary, potentially jeopardizing democracy, the rule of law, and the independence of the judiciary.

He also highlighted the APC’s trust in the judiciary to perform its duties, and reminded the NNPP that any judgment issued can be appealed at higher courts such as the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

In conclusion, the PRO urged all APC members in the state to stay vigilant and await further guidance from the party.
