ADP Presidential Candidate Unveils Running Mate Ahead Of 2027 Election

According to Ireporter Online, the announcement was made in a statement issued by Abba’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, who described the decision as part of efforts to build an inclusive, competent, and youth-focused leadership for Nigeria.

The statement noted that the selection of Ike was a strategic move aimed at presenting Nigerians with a credible alternative capable of restoring hope, strengthening national unity, promoting economic growth, and delivering effective governance.

“Through this decision, we remain committed to creating a united, inclusive, competent, and youth-driven leadership that reflects the aspirations of Nigerians,” the statement said.

Aliyu Bin Abbas described his running mate as a seasoned political figure, entrepreneur, and youth advocate from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, with over two decades of experience in leadership and public service.

The ADP presidential candidate highlighted Ike’s previous roles, including his service as former Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Forum of National Youth Leaders of Political Parties in Nigeria, as well as his tenure as the National Youth Leader of the Action Democratic Party.

Beyond politics, Ike was also recognised for his contributions to the private sector, particularly through his role as Project Director of Season.com Nig. Ltd., where he has been involved in housing development and economic initiatives.

The statement described Ike as a leader known for integrity, innovation, inclusiveness, and dedication to youth empowerment, national development, and democratic values.

The ADP said the Aliyu Bin Abbas-Chinazam Ike presidential ticket represents a new generation of leadership focused on competence, justice, equity, innovation, and service, while promoting unity among Nigerians across ethnic, religious, and regional divides.

The party also called on youths, women, professionals, traditional institutions, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders to support the movement towards what it described as a new Nigeria built on justice, opportunity, security, and shared prosperity.
