Cynthia Morgan Fires Back at Peter Okoye: “Your Family Made Me Look Weak”

Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has responded strongly to Peter Okoye’s recent comments involving her in his family dispute with his twin brother, Paul, and their elder brother Jude Okoye.

Peter, one-half of the music duo P-Square, took to Instagram earlier in the week to accuse his brothers of betrayal and theft, referencing past controversies with their former signees — including Cynthia Morgan.

In his post, Peter said:
“Exactly what I was talking about: their publicist doing everything to make me look like a liar. I’m not MayD or Cynthia Morgan. I’m PETER OKOYE… The truth shall prevail.”

Cynthia Morgan, reacting via her Instagram story, expressed discomfort at being referenced in the family’s feud. She stated:
“I have a mixed feeling about my name popping up like this. I’m not a weak person. Certain family members made it look so. @peterpsquare included. Until you found out what they were doing to you too. Na me listen to una sha.”

The singer famously had a bitter falling out with Northside Entertainment, the record label run by the Okoye brothers. Her career decline was previously linked to disputes over contracts, image rights, and management.

This latest episode underscores ongoing tensions not only within the Okoye family but also with their former collaborators. It also reflects how unresolved industry grievances continue to resurface during personal feuds.
