Dennis Idahosa Moves Motion To Create Economic Revenue Roadmap For Nigeria’s Future
Yesterday the lawmaker representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Dennis Idahosa moved a motion on the need to create an Economic Revenue Road Map for the future of Nigeria.
According to the lawmaker, Nigeria would be at the receiving end if intentional precautions are not taken to secure the future of the country. He noted that the continuous dependence on fossil fuels and hydrocarbons would lead the nation to a great state of economic depression in no time.
He called on the house to mandate the Federal Government to pay attention to the numerous potential sources of revenue abundant in the country and harness them to the benefit of every citizen and the Nation at large.
The House mandated the committees on climate change, Gas resources, environment, petroleum resources (Upstream), solid minerals to liaise with relevant stakeholders with the mandate of providing a 10-year framework for the utilization of current resources towards developing other sectors and report back within twelve (12) weeks for further legislative actions.
The House also mandated the committee on Legislative compliance to ensure compliance.
