Speaking on Sunday at the 50th Anniversary Celebration and Thanksgiving Service of Nakam Memorial School in Panyam, Plateau State, Dogara emphasized the transformative power of education in driving infrastructure development. He noted that educated minds, even in the absence of infrastructure, can create solutions, build schools, construct roads, and generate electricity.

Highlighting Nigeria’s vast natural resources, particularly in Plateau State, Dogara stressed that education is key to unlocking the country’s potential. He pointed out that countries like South Korea and the “Asian Tigers” have achieved remarkable progress by prioritizing education.

Dogara also noted the surprising contrast with Kenya, whose budget is reportedly higher than Nigeria’s, despite having fewer resources and a smaller population. He linked this discrepancy to Kenya’s higher literacy rate, urging Nigeria to focus on improving its education system to foster sustainable development.

He called on all levels of government to invest more in education and human capital as a critical step toward lifting the nation out of poverty.
