Dokubo-Asari emphasized the importance of investing in the Niger Delta, where he said the region is rich in oil and gas resources, with opportunities in marine transportation, agriculture, and tourism development.

“Instead of buying land in other communities, our people need to come back home to build houses here,” he said. “I urge my fellow Kalabari brothers and sisters worldwide to set up businesses here that will boost the economy of the Kalabari Kingdom and provide jobs for our people.”

The Da-Amakiri Tubo highlighted the potential for investment in various sectors, including:

• Marine Transportation: With the Niger Delta’s rich marine resources, there are opportunities for investment in shipping, boat-building, and other related industries.
• Agriculture: The region’s fertile soil and favorable climate make it an ideal place for farming, with crops such as rice, cassava, and palm oil being major cash crops.
• Tourism: The Niger Delta’s unique cultural heritage and natural beauty make it an attractive destination for tourists, with opportunities for investment in hotels, resorts, and other tourism-related infrastructure.

Dokubo-Asari also encouraged the youth to shun cultism and violent associations that harm others, instead embracing peaceful and constructive endeavors that promote the well-being of the community.

He recalled his own decision in 2017 to move from Port Harcourt to Obuama, where he invested in real estate and other businesses, contributing significantly to the growth and transformation of the community.
