In a statement issued by Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police stated that Makinde, dismissed in 2022 for serious misconduct including extortion, dereliction of duty, and abuse of office, was rearrested in June 2024 for impersonating a police officer.
