Alhassan refuted media reports suggesting an invasion of the Emir’s Palace by the DSS, stating these claims were false. They also passed the Kano State Emirate Council Law of 2024, effectively dethroning Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as Emir of Kano and recognizing former CBN governor Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano.
