EDHA Elections: Free Jarret Tenebe Trends On Social Media As Residents Drag Out Philip Shaibu,Obaseki

The internet is currently buzzing with calls to release Emperor Jarret Tenebe, the Deputy Chairman of the APC in Edo State, who was allegedly arrested on the orders of Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu.

Fear of the APC chieftain, who is a formidable grassroots mobilizer, is said to have led to his arrest on his way back to Edo North following a political meeting in Benin City.

According to sources close to Government House, Saturday’s House of Assembly election will go a long way in defining Obaseki and Philip Shaibu’s future stay at Dennis Osadebe avenue, saying that the APC, which appears to be the state’s major political party thanks to its recent electoral triumph, will send the duo parking.

The APC has since denied this narrative, stating that it has no plans to impeach Obaseki or Philip Shaibu and that all it cares about is the progress of the people of Edo State having access to quality representatives. They also stated that Obaseki was only seeking sympathy votes, which he does not deserve after denying 14 of the house members inauguration for over three years.

If true,this is truly sad and goes too far with desperation; let the people pick who will represent their various constituencies, and if you must have a rubber stamp house, let them persuade the people to vote for them.
