Edo: Again, Wife Kills Husband During Fight

Barely one week after a woman allegedly killed her husband, another woman identified as Maimuna has allegedly killed her husband known as Malam Nasiru Dagana during a fight in Edo State.  

Penultimate weekend, a younger wife from the same Dagana family whose husband was caught with another woman in their home allegedly stabbed him to death.

It was gathered that the incident happened at the weekend in Jattu, Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

A source said the deceased had gone to the farm earlier in the day together with his wives to do some work.

He said: “But after returning from the farm, a misunderstanding ensued between him and the wife identified as Maimuna which degenerated into a fight.

He said during the fight, the woman pushed her husband and in the process, he hit his head on the floor and fainted.

He said the deceased was rushed to the hospital for treatment but didn’t survive.

Our reporter could not get response from the state command’s spokesperson, Kongtons Bello, as calls and text messages sent to his phone were not answered.
