EFCC Interrogates SGF Akume’s Aide Over Alleged Corruption

Sources reveal that Uchi has been in EFCC custody since Monday, March 10, 2025, following a petition accusing him of acquiring properties worth over ₦6 billion in Abuja, Jos, and multiple locations in Benue State. Reports also indicate that approximately ₦1.6 billion was spent on luxury vehicles within two years, with funds allegedly funneled through Bureau de Change operators.

While his legal counsel, Barrister Joseph Adejoh, has dismissed the allegations, EFCC sources confirm that Uchi remains under interrogation. Attempts to reach EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale for comments have so far been unsuccessful.
