El-Rufai Makes Strong Revelation On Army Chief Lagbaja

Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, expressed confidence that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, will effectively combat terrorism and banditry in Nigeria.

El-Rufai praised Lagbaja’s leadership style, stating that he leads from the front and instills fear in criminal elements such as Boko Haram terrorists, bandits, members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and others.

In a Twitter post over the weekend, El-Rufai shared a video of Lagbaja directing troops to eliminate all criminal elements and stop the killings in Plateau State.

He mentioned that Lagbaja had previously served as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) during his tenure as governor of Kaduna State.

El-Rufai commended Lagbaja’s hands-on approach and recounted instances where he personally led troops in confronting bandits both in Kaduna State and in the northeast and southeast regions.

El-Rufai praised Lagbaja’s appointment as COAS, stating that he is the best choice for the position.

He expressed gratitude to General Lagbaja for his dedication, valor, and effective leadership. Lagbaja, who assumed office as the 23rd Chief of Army Staff in June, recently addressed troops in Plateau State, emphasizing the need to make the area safe for its inhabitants, as it had been marred by violence and killings perpetrated by gunmen, leading many locals to flee the region.
