Ex-Deputy Gov, Shaibu Fires Shots At Ighodalo Over Incompetency, Praises Akpata For Outstanding Track Record

Written By Oshiobugie John

In a powerful new video, recently impeached Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon. Philip Shaibu, threw his full support behind Olumide Akpata, hailing him as the most qualified candidate for the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

Akpata’s charisma, sharp intellect, and impressive resume make him a standout choice for all Edo voters. Shaibu, addressing the press, emphasized, “Enough of English that takes us nowhere. We are talking about governance, about the man who understands the plight of the people. He who wears the shoes knows where they pinch.”

In a stinging rebuke, Shaibu criticized Ighodalo, the beleaguered political protégé of Governor Godwin Obaseki. He remarked, “It’s not anti-party because in the last election, the Governor was one leg Labour, one leg PDP. A man who has never voted is seeking our votes? You compare him to a man who was president of the NBA and is really a homeboy.”

Akpata’s reputation as a leader with integrity and vision is well-known. His tenure as President of the Nigerian Bar Association demonstrated his commitment to justice, fairness, and progress. His ability to connect with individuals and address their concerns sets him apart from other candidates.
