What Happened?

According to a statement released by Ejike Ndiulo, the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, these cancellations will impact flights scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, and Thursday, January 16, 2025.

The airline reassured customers that affected passengers were promptly informed via multiple communication channels to minimize inconvenience.

Commitment to Safety

“Dear Esteemed Customer, we regret to inform you of the cancellation of flights to and from Warri and Ibadan due to unscheduled maintenance. Additional flights to Akure, Ilorin, Calabar, and Uyo have also been affected for the same reason,” Air Peace stated.

The airline extended its apologies to passengers and reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards while urging passengers to stay updated on flight schedules through customer service.

Aviation Authority Steps In

ireporteronline recalls that the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) recently summoned CEOs of domestic airlines to address frequent delays and cancellations, particularly during the festive season.

This follows concerns raised by Michael Achimugu, NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, who shared his personal experience with frustrated passengers.

“Passengers were visibly upset and threatened to become violent. I had to engage with them for about 20 minutes, explaining the implications of unforeseen situations such as weather conditions or technical issues,” Achimugu revealed.
