Former Labour Party Governorship Candidate Edeoga Returns To PDP

Chijioke Edeoga, the former governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Enugu State, has officially rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Expressing his admiration, Edeoga stated, “Governor Mbah’s visionary, disruptive, and transformative leadership has motivated me to return to the PDP.”

Acknowledging that his move may be met with mixed reactions, Edeoga emphasized the importance of unity within the party as they prepare for the next electoral cycle. “I understand that some may not appreciate my decision, but it is time for us to come together as a family and build a formidable front,” he said.

Welcoming Edeoga back, the Enugu State PDP Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunwike, described his return as a reflection of Governor Mbah’s dynamic leadership. He expressed confidence that more former members would follow suit.

The Chairman of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, Mr. Obiora Obegu, also praised the development, noting that Edeoga’s return would strengthen the party and promote unity.

Edeoga was accompanied by several prominent former Labour Party members who also declared their support for his decision by joining him at the PDP secretariat in GRA Enugu.
