Governor Bassey Otu’s Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Ogbeche, issued a statement on Sunday cautioning the public to disregard any unsolicited messages requesting financial aid purportedly from the Governor.

According to Ogbeche, the breach occurred in the early hours of Sunday, February 11, 2024, when hi-tech criminals compromised one of the Governor’s mobile numbers.

Ogbeche emphasized the importance of vigilance, urging individuals not to fall victim to such deceitful tactics. He assured that the hacked number had been secured, with law enforcement agencies actively pursuing the perpetrators behind this reprehensible act.
